Rebuilding your Lock Out Hubs!!   Now we can go ahead and rebuild the lock out hubs.  These hubs were locked right up and will not work at all.  First go ahead take the bolts out then pull the locking unit out.   Set it on a bench and take it apart.  Remember how it goes back together.

My unit just needed to be cleaned with a wire brush on a drill and put back together.

This may sound way to simple but I snow plowed with this truck for 10 years.....never taking it out of 4 wheel drive or low gear.   So sometimes you can just clean up your parts and they'll work like new.

You can use the same rule of thumb when rebuilding your lock outs as you do when you are doing brakes.  If you can not figure out how to put these back together you can always pull the other side and take a look at it.
